RITMO

Terms of use

The short version: RITMO gives you estimates, you make the decisions, and nothing here replaces a doctor or a coach.

What RITMO is

RITMO produces informational pacing estimates from weather models, course elevation data, and the inputs you provide. Estimates are exactly that: models can be wrong, forecasts change, courses get re-measured, and race day always has a say.

Not medical or coaching advice

RITMO is not medical advice, and not a substitute for a coach who knows you. Racing in heat and humidity carries real physiological risk. You are responsible for your own decisions on race day — including the decision to slow down or stop. If you have any medical condition that affects exercise, talk to a physician before racing, whatever any pacing tool says.

Your responsibility

Listen to your body over any number RITMO gives you. If conditions on the day are worse than forecast — hotter, more humid, or otherwise dangerous — adjust or abandon your plan. No estimate is worth a medical tent.

No warranty

RITMO is provided as-is, free of charge, without warranty of any kind. We work hard on the models (they're documented and sourced), but we don't guarantee accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose, and we aren't liable for losses arising from use of the service to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Fair use

Don't scrape, resell, or hammer the service, and don't use it to build a competing dataset. Course names (Sydney Marathon, NYC Marathon, Chicago Marathon) are used as factual references to public race courses; RITMO is not affiliated with or endorsed by any race organizer.
